After all the preliminary tournaments, semi-final tournaments, and the final tournament, one person remained to claim the Championship trophy and the $500,000 first prize. It was so amazing how a lovely black American swept out all her opponents in the track. She made everyone proud especially women who were also card games enthusiasts.
Back in 2006 Alice Walker won in the National 3-Card Poker Championship. This awesome back-to-back Double Crown has never been duplicated and it brought about Alice as one of the top all-around card players in the world.
Dave Stann
Born November 12, 1974 in Cleveland, Ohio. Dave is an actor, television personality, and blackjack player. His monikers include “Hollywood” Dave Stann and “The Undisputed Bad Boy of Blackjack”. “Bad Boy of Blackjack,” Stann happens to be a member of MENSA. A veteran blackjack pro, he is often recognized as the dealer from Celebrity Blackjack. He is reputed to have the largest collection of troll dolls in the United States. He is also working on a book called “Hollywood Blackjack.”
He quickly formulated a talent for counting cards and found that gambling also allowed him to express his theatrical side. Many casinos weren’t as thrilled by his talents, and Dave found himself chuck out and barred from many of the big-name establishments. Not being one to give up, he continued to play and soon found himself in the televised 2004 World Series of Blackjack.
His portrayals in the GSN produced Celebrity Blackjack and World Series of Blackjack further concreted his status as the most perceptible blackjack player in the world, but being outed as a card counter on national television severely limited his opportunities in Vegas. Despite of being substitutable with blackjack, these days he almost exclusively plays in No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournaments.
