American Folk

MSNBC – What is it about Oberman and Maddow that makes them American Folk Heroes? Why are they so brilliant?
Is it the constant “on your feet” and ready to kick butt attitude or the uncanny ability to put lying politicians in their place?
Oberman is simply a newsman of the old style…Maddow IS brilliant and an unknown type of “pundit”. She is a genuine happy and smart lesbian and so confounds the media. She reminds me of a few women in US history that were brilliant but married…they were probably still gay. Don’t know and don’t care.
The thing about Rachel Maddow is – I have been listening to her for years – is that she is genuinely & happily interested in getting to the bottom of things…she somehow gets you interested in the (possibly) unforeseen results of the inquiry.
“Breath of fresh air”…to use a tired cliche’. Americans are no longer used to listening to intelligent discussion. It was fairly common up until the consolidation of the media. Now there are the dumb downed goof-balls like Hannity on the box.
I don’t watch anymore…even if she Is on…I can listen to her on Air America!
