Ancient Greece

Ancient Greece
what started the war between ancient Greece and Persia?

I’m doing a project for school on ancient Greece I need to know this. Also, who was the cruelest leader in Sparta and why?

Don’t listen to Rebelioner. He is a troll.

Anyway, the war between Greece and Persia started because of the Ionian revolt. The Athenians chose to meddle in the Ionian revolt which was a revolt against the Persians. As a result, a long and bitter war occurred in Iona. Although the Persians emerged victorious, the war had been both expensive and bloody.
The Persians now viewed Athens as a threat.

Anyone who says the Greco-Persian wars occurred purely do to Persian greed is wrong because the Persians had far more accessible and wealthier lands, like the small, but prosperous Indian kingdoms in North India, to conquer than the Greek city states that were in an isolated area.
