The Fear Of Our Founding Fathers
”
No man’s life, liberty or fortune is safe while our legislature is in session
.” …Ben Franklin
We can find many quotes from our founding fathers that corroborates their fear that the Constitution, that they worked tirelessly to formulate, would one day become corrupted by those who just don’t get it.
As a self-taught Bible scholar—and I humbly say that, because it is by God’s grace that I have been able to attain great understanding and wisdom, of not just the words of the Bible, but the deep meanings behind the Bible’s stories—I have found a great parallel between these Bible stories and history as it moved forward from those ancient days.
One particular parallel, is the story of Moses in comparison to our founding fathers. As the story of Moses details, this great leader of God, brought the Israelites out from Egyptian bondage, across the Red Sea and destined for the promised land of God.
Similarly, the Puritan’s who left European religious bondage, crossed the Atlantic Ocean and were destined for the promise land of America. There is no coincidence here that in ancient times God preserved the land flowing with milk and honey for the Israelites, and America for those pilgrims who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and exemplified that belief of Christ within their personal lives.
As the land of Israel was blessed by God as the most fruitful land in ancient days, so also was the land of America, particularly what is known today as the United States. As I will discuss in future writings, there are many prophecies within the Bible that I believe alludes to the United States of America. Of course, I will back that statement up with documented biblical evidence that corroborates this truth. But for now I will leave that aside.
But just as the Israelites grumbled to Moses with every trial they encountered, and pleaded with him to take them back to Egypt, where at least they knew their lives were stable, even if they were oppressed, so it was with the early settlers of America.
As they struggled to build a country from scratch giving them the freedom they so desired, not only did they have to deal with an unknown land, the native Indians, and the elements of wildlife and weather, they also had to deal with those who were loyal to the socialist British government who were trying to corrupt their freedom by instituting the same form of oppressive government here in America.
This is ultimately what sparked the American Revolution and the dramatic God-inspired victory to the freedom fighters of the American colonies. But even after that victory, the mindset of many still longed for government control. Those who believed government will take care of them.
History shows that socialist forms of government just don’t work the way they are intend to. Leaders get caught up in the power that they receive as they regulate their land and arrogantly believe they know better than you, what’s best for you.
Does this sound eerily similar to what is going on in the United States today? It should, because the progressives, who we’ve allowed to infiltrate our government and White House, have arrogantly forced their socialist legislation down the throats of the American people.
They have legislated against the majority of the American’s will and have moved us away from being a democracy and into a government controlled socialist dictatorship. Just this past week a progressive legislation was introduced into New York State. It intends to impose a law the prohibits restaurants from serving their patrons salt.
Excuse me! If I am stupid enough to intake enough salt to give me a heart attack, I should have the right to do that. I don’t need my government telling me what I can eat and what I can’t.
If you don’t find that offensive and oppressive, then you were never intended to be in this country in the first place. Just like many of those who followed the Puritan’s to this great land.
My friends, we are at a precipice of time when we will either take a stand, or allow the elitists of the world, who think they know it all, to control us and tell us where we can work, when we can work, how much money we are allowed to make, and so on, and so on…
We have a choice coming this November, either continue on this path of (as Rush Limbaugh says) “hoax and chains,” or truly bring about “hope and change” by voting into office those who believe in the heritage and virtues of our American history.
