Billy Whiskers

Billy Whiskers
Why are there so many t.v. show cancels these days?

I mean over the years this has gotten so annoying I’ll list a few from a few
Disney channel) the proud family, the replacements, that’s so raven, cory in the house, the replacements, brandy and mr. whiskers, american dragon drake long and a few more.
The thing about nickalodeon is that most of the shows were transfered to nick toons network.
cartoon network) the grim adventures of billy and mandy, my gym partners a monkey, camp lazlo, dragon ball z, bobobobo, one peice and blue dragon (I was ticked when blue dragon lefted) and a few more.

Why are all these good shows gone?

THE INTERNET.

Let me elaborate, the rating’s system is an outdated system. As society gets more complicated, life gets more complicated, and therefore Television is left behind. Too many people cannot sit down and watch their favourite shows when the shows are on. And it’s now so simple to catch up using the Internet. I watch shows on the Internet and if I like them, I buy them on DVD, I cannot remember the last time I sat down and watched a show properly.

Its how they got Futurama and Family Guy back on, sure they can claim because both shows were syndicated people watched them on television thus buying the DVDs and with such high DVD sales they realized they could continue making the shows, but realistically I’m sure the Internet came into play as well.

One more problem is that I think that North America should adopt a system more like Britain’s where a season of a show is truly a season, i.e. 13 episodes. That way, you’re going to get rid of a lot of filler episodes and focus on the storyline that really matters. Plus the show doesn’t flood Television almost for a full year giving other shows a chance to shine, and you will end up missing your show enough to catch it when the new season comes around.
