Question about what I’m allowed to put in my Greek Mythology Book in modern times??

In my book, I was wondering if i used the idea that the Greek gods moved with the western civilization that if that idea would be considered plagerism from Rick Riordians Percy Jackson series?

Well, depending on how you present it, it might not be plagerism but it would be seem to be derivative. Why not at least use some other mythology, like Norse? Or King Arthur’s court?
