Booth Tarkington

What book can you relate this quote to?
“We do keep looking ahead to things as if they’s finish something, but when we get to them, they don’t finish anything. They’re just part of going on.” -Booth Tarkington
Can anyone think of a well known book that this can relate to? I have to write a huge essay on it and I’m not really getting any ideas at all.
Or a historical event if you cannot think of a book.
THANKS!
Maybe ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ (Jodi Picoult), or ‘Gunslinger’ (Stephen King).
Those are the only two I can come up with. Maybe Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling)?
I don’t know, but I hope that I helped at least a little. *apologetic smile*
Good luck =)
