Burke Signed
are the Toronto Maple Leafs interested in Ilya Kovalchuk?
Ive been hearing about the devils, kings, and suprisingly the leafs in on Kovalchuk, Brian Burke said numerous times hes not interested in his services, but do you think he could offer him a 6 year deal worth 6.5-7 million dollers per season? Why would Ilya sign with the Kings?
Brian Burke has said on many occasions that he is not interested in Ilya Kovalchuk because he believes the contract Kovalchuk would be asking for would be too long and too expensive. I think Burke should sign him anyway. Something along the lines of 7.5 million/8 years where the bulk of the money in the contract is in the first four or five seasons would be appropriate I think.
He’ll probably sign with a KHL team.
