Ontario home to Canada’s largest city – Toronto!

Toronto is the provincial capital of Ontario, the second largest province in Canada, second to that of Quebec. Toronto has become a haven for people to visit, and tourists from all over the world have fallen in love with this city. It is right on the coast line in the south east of Ontario.

Almost 2 and half million people live in this city, making it the most populated city in Canada, and the fifth largest in North America. There are many factors that have made Toronto one of the biggest financial centres on the planet, one factor being tourism. Canada is home to some truly wonderful wonders, and Toronto is a great example for this. The second tallest Freestanding structure is in Toronto, making it probably the biggest landmark in Toronto’s city walls.

There is a stadium called the Sports Stadia that was the first stadium across the globe to have the famous Retractable roof system. At the moment two teams from different sports share this stadium, the Blue Jays (baseball) and the Argonauts (Canadian Football). This stadium is world renowned.

Niagara Falls is one of Toronto;s biggest tourist sites, and it isn’t even in Toronto, it lies on the American – Canadian border over 45 miles away. Toronto is the closest city and it has been named as its biggest attraction. 50 miles to see this beautiful waterfall isn’t that much of a trek, and a visit to Toronto means that you would have to visit.

Now if history and geology is your thing, then you should pay the Royal Ontario Museum a visit. There are many different areas in this museum, providing something for everyone, one of the biggest areas is the zoology department, there is also an archaeology and mineralogy section. Geologists would be in heaven if they visited this Museum.

Toronto holidays are well worth the money, and so are Vancouver holidays, which I will talk about in my next post, Canada holidays are the different American holiday, which will you visit?
