Common sense! Common sense!. just like the term itself, it’s a clear indication or rather obvious that each and every normal human being is a bearer of this rare gift from our Almighty God. Think about this, you are riding on the same bus with elderly people (depending on how old you may be), but then the bus is so full that they can’t find a place to sit, shamefully you just sit back and enjoy your music via the earphones if you happen to be one those people who really adore music with passion.
This is where one ends up wondering whether it’s really common sense, respect, or just some highly technological ethics that need to be exercised in our day to day lives. C’mon young ones! Open up your sixth brain!.
Generally common sense is not like a lesson where one needs to be taught in a classroom scenario. We as human beings tend to judge the conduct of others as early as from birth. Children who depict signs of slow reactions from even simple things such as mosquito bites, or even a situation where a fly just comes, settles on the baby’s nose, eye lashes for God’s sake! and the baby does nothing, surely that is an obvious worry for the parent.
Also, let us look on another simple example like financial management. Be older than other does not imply being mature. There is a category of people who never mature up and this becomes a very big problem even when it comes to providing solutions to simple obstacles whatsoever. This kind of failure in the line of financial management gets to get experienced right from our houses, places of worship, places of work, and even with our own selves. When one can not train him or herself on how to put first things first, it can mess your entire life. Here I am talking about priorities. You are out for shopping, and mark you, you consider buying an expensive dress for yourself at the expense of your baby’s food, or that alone, think of a situation where you have hard cash on you, there’s an accident just where you are passing, people are crying out for help. My friend, YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN ASSIST and even go as far as catering for medical bill for if not all of the accident victims, atleast one of them but you choose to check in to a hotel next door, order for the most expensive meal on course!. Man!, where is your head in the first place? Where is your damn heart?, can you be classified any different from a beast?. Ponder about that……………….. Common sense!.
As you go through this article, just exactly what is going on in your mind?. Which is that small voice that is speaking to you?. What about the environment around you, how do you relate to people around you/ and also how do they relate to you and others around them?. It’s funny how we jump in to matters knowingly or even unknowingly and end up with very wrong and shameful regrettable results. God have mercy on us
