synonyms to say that someone gave a paper during a conference?
Hi, I am writing a conference report and I have run out of inspiration here. Could you give me any synonyms of ‘discussed, debated, talked about’… to say that a speaker gave a paper during a conference? I keep using ‘discussed …’, then ‘debated on’, ‘talked about + title of paper’ or ‘raised the issue of’… but I need more phrases or verbs that are similar to these. Any ideas?
You can say they “introduced” a topic, “expressed their opinion” or (to use a big word) they “enlightened the audience”.
