What is the difference between a Master of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design?
I was thinking about getting a Master’s Degree online in Graphic Design. I saw Master of Arts is 45 hrs. and Master of Fine Arts is 90 hrs. Is there a benefit of getting a Master of Arts Degree? Just wondering if it is impressive on a resume. Thanks!

The first one, Master of Arts an academic degree higher than a bachelor’s degree but lower than a doctor’s degree. The other one is a graduate degree typically requiring two to three years of study beyond the bachelor’s degree level and usually awarded in visual arts, creative writing, filmmaking, or theater/performing arts.
Basically, the Master of Fine Arts differs from the Master of Arts in that the MFA, while an academic program, centers around practice in the particular field, programs leading to the MA are usually centered on the scholarly, academic, or critical study of the field.
Briefly stated, MFA is better and more impressive and opens up new doors in any performing parts.
