Fine First
I replaced my kitchen faucet last week and it was fine at first but now it leaks.?
Today when I turned the faucet on the water comes out and it thumps or bangs and I think the actual faucet (not the water lines) are leaking. Also, when I use the sprayer hose, it does not thump. Is it possible the faucet is defective?
possibly Lisa, however if its clanging & banging it usually because you need and end of line air declainger LOL. Its true though, if you check with home depot or your local hardware store they can give you a copper end peice that is welded on to your copper lines. If galvanized, you can make it yourself…just look at the copper ones and you’ll get the drift.
Now, on another note, if the faucet wasn’t doing this in the past and you just put it on…its most likely its in the faucet assembly or installation, because when you turn on the spray, it doesn’t clang/bang.
restep you installation and check for imperfections in the faucet, left something in line at assembly or just something odd somewhere.
