Okay, I’ve never read any of Frank Yerby’s novels…however, he’s my mom’s favorite author. So, “Floodtide” takes place in the 1850′s South. It’s about a man from the wrong side of the tracks who wants to belong in the “upper-crust” of society. There’s a really good website www.frankyerby.com it’ll give you an overview of all of his novels.
