If you believe in your ability to do something, your confidence will automatically make it easier and you will likely be able to do it. However, if you believe you cannot do something, your insecurity will torpedo your ability to complete the task. So, no matter which you believe, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because it affects the way you think about and approach the task at hand.
