Is a private high school’s dean of students allowed to legally make a fake facebook to search out drug users?
I think this might be happening at my Catholic high school but I’m wondering if this is illegal, or just a school doing its job? Or is it different for privately owned high schools not operated by the government?
Is it the same if their profile is private, and they add people? Is it illegal then or only if it is set to public?
i believe they can. the private christian college in my town sends spies into the popular bars to take pictures of their students drinking and smoking which is against their policy and they will get kicked out if they are caught… they get away with it…. plus bosses look on people’s facebooks to see what their employees are up to and will fire them if there’s anything that makes the company look bad… and they get away with it too… so i would suggest only adding people you know and keeping your fb private.
