tiberian hebrew is a system of punctuating written Hebrew.
there are two types – with or without these marks.
it is used when children learn to read, in very difficult text like the bible, or in a single rare word or name, so that the reader will know how to pronounce it.
in oral hebrew, there are 4 dialects: regular Ashkenazi, oriental, Jerusalem, and Haredic.
in Ashkenazi dialect, throaty letters are not pronounces, and in oriental dialect they are pronounced distinctively.
Jerusalem dialect is distinct to Jerusalem, in which few words (less then 10) are pronounced differently, and having few Slang words.
Haredic dialect was used by ultra-religious Jews when studding religious text. many words are pronounced similar to the way they were pronounced in Yiddish, making it sound very foreign.
