Ivanhoe Sir

Ivanhoe Sir
Sir Walter Scott wrote”Ivanhoe.”Do you know the title & content of his published letters relevant to M&F?

This is one of the true Mythology & Folklore questions I will post this day. I will give best answers, but I will ignore urls except as Sources.

That would be Letters on Demonology and Witchcraft, published in 1830 I believe. It is a collection of ten letters to J. G. Lockhart. The letters cover astrology, elves, dwarves, banshies, ghosts, brownies, witches, the prosecution of witches, lycanthropes (werewolves), fairies, Robin Goodfellow (Puck), soothsayers, satyrs, goblins, witchcraft and wizardry in the Bible, sleep-walking, apparitions and delusions.

This 1982, 180-minute television remake of the original MGM feature, produced 30 years before, is the rare makeover of a classic that works quite well under its own steam. With his bid rebuffed by his estranged father (Michael Hor…
