What You Need To Know Before Booking A Trip To Enchanting Egypt

Few places in the world have captured the imagination of millions of travellers than Egypt has over the years. The land of ancient kings and queens known for their majestic monuments and architectural contributions to history, Egypt is certainly one of the top travel destinations not to be missed by anyone who wishes to travel to exotic locations throughout the world. Unlike other travel destinations, the wonders or Egypt are not concentrated on just a single area, instead, visitors can actually choose a plethora of locations and destinations that will truly make for memorable holidays Egypt style. For example, you can visit Giza and other sites where ancient pyramids are located or choose to go on a romantic Egypt Nile cruise for an alternative experience. Here are a few things you need to know of you want to book a trip to enchanting Egypt.

Legal requirement
Apart from booking a hotel beforehand, the first thing that you need is a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after you book your holiday. There are basically two types of visas available: an entry visa and a tourist visa. Of the two, you are required to get the tourist visa, which is valid within three months from the date of issue; this type of visa is accepted if you wish to undertake an Egypt Nile cruise for a few days. Upon your arrival in Egypt, you can then procure a visa at any major points of entry or airports. To avoid unexpected hassles, however, it is advised that you obtain your visa from an Egyptian embassy in your country. While in the Egyptian Diplomatic and Consular Missions branch in your country, you can also obtain a list of accredited travel companies that can help arrange your itinerary.

Plan an itinerary
As with any other trip—be it local or abroad—an itinerary helps keep the trip organized. By being organized, visitors can actually maximize their holiday. There are many things that you can do in Egypt. First, as was mentioned, you can choose a luxurious Egypt Nile cruise and explore the Nile River aboard a luxury ship or floating hotel. Such an experience provides so many activities that you can experience in a land-based hotel. For history buffs, they can plan tours to visit famous landmarks that provide a glimpse into the lives of ancient kings and queens and the culture of one of the greatest civilizations that ever existed—some say this is the only way for visitors to have truly unique holidays Egypt style.

Pack essential things you will need
Depending on your itinerary, you definitely have to pack some essential items to help you avoid certain inconveniences while on vacation. If you plan to spend hours on walking tours of the Egyptian desert, you certainly have to pack items to help you combat the heat, such as a good hat, sun block, water holder, and a comfortable pair of walking shoes. On the other hand, if you are going on an Egypt Nile cruise, you may pack similar items as you would for a regular vacation.

Finally, do mind the local customs and traditions as you interact with locals. Egyptians can be quite conservative, so it is best to act with a little bit of reservation. Have a safe and happy trip!
