Do you have a recipe for a stained-glass looking dessert?
I had this one time around Christmas. It looked almost like a loaf of homemade bread, but it was chocolate covered. When you sliced it, it looked like stained glass because of the colored mini marshmallows inside. Does anyone have this recipe? It was delicious. Thank you.
This is a recipe taken off a bag of colored mini-marshmallows decades ago…it was called” chocolate marshmallow logs”–not nearly as creative as the name today… it was a log that you cut into slices to serve….was this it ?>
Cathedral Window No Bake Chocolate Cookies Recipe
* 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
* 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 1 cup chopped walnuts
* 1 bag (10.5 ounces) colored mini marshmallows (about 5 cups)
* 2 1/3 cups (7 ounces) coconut
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips over very low heat, stirring often, until melted and smooth.
2. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
3. In a large-sized mixing bowl combine the nuts and marshmallows.
4. Add the chocolate and stir until the marshmallows and nuts are well coated.
5. Tear five 9-inch sheets of waxed paper and sprinkle each generously with the coconut.
6. Divide the chocolate marshmallow mixture into fifths and place each fifth on a sheet of waxed paper.
7. Roll tightly into 2-inch diameter log.
8. Wrap tightly and refrigerate overnight or until firm.
9. Before serving, unwrap from waxed paper and cut into 1/2″ slices.
