Map Beautiful
why are the names of the states and cities of usa so beautiful?
I like them because they don’t sound english and are perfect for the land there. Whenever I am bored, I keep observing the usa map and I see all the names of the cities and small towns. they are so unique and I feel good to pronounce them.
I wonder what’s the history behind them.

Well a lot of the east coast names come from the U.K. but a lot of the western and further into the middle have Spanish and Native American names. It is wonderful proof of how eclectic this country is. Like I live in Corona which is Spanish for crown . They sound wonderful and interesting to you because it is a foreign language to you.
