The reckoning by kelley armstrong – the darkest powers?

I’m towards the end of the book right now and I still don’t understand these groups: so, the edison group is the bad guys who do the experiments and stuff. Then what is the Cabal and St Cloud? Also I have no idea what the Nasts are? and why does Margaret and Russel give the kids to the edison group? i mean i understand they’re dangerous and all but i thought they were rivals. why would they go to the enemy’s place? doesn’t make sense

thank u so much for answering:))
please answer I really want to go on with the book and these groups seem to keep coming up. and no i am not saying I didn’t understand the book because I did but I may have not understood every single sentence:) thx again

I have not read this so don’t know the answer but unless it is required reading I would put it down and take up something you enjoy. I am assuming you would not get much joy out of a book you are not “getting”. Try Charlene Harris’ Stookie Stackhouse books if you want something in the paranormal genre.

Vaughan Williams: The Complete Symphonies / Orchestral Works

Adrian Boult’s credentials in this repertoire are unassailable, and to have nearly all his stereo Vaughan Williams recordings for EMI so elegantly packaged and enticingly priced will be incentive enough for many a prospective purchaser. There’s much to treasure here, not least those gently perceptive accounts of the first three symphonies, as well as the Fifth and the Ninth. All the same, the fire…

Robert Aldrich pulls no punches in his unrelentingly brutal story of a reign of terror perpetrated on Arizona settlers by a bitter Apache warrior and the cavalry’s frustrated attempts to stop him. Burt Lancaster, a longtime Aldrich collaborator and star of the similar 1954 Western Apache, brings his laconic, quietly authoritative presence to the role of McIntosh, a blunt-speaking, introspective ol…

G Men

G Men

There comes a time in the career of every gangster star when he has to go straight. Jimmy Cagney did it in “G” Men, a crisp crimefighting drama directed by William Keighley. Its hero is one more Cagney variation on the working-class guy with a smart mouth and a hard right, only this time he’s a lawyer whose education was paid for by the avuncular local crimelord. Cagney’s on the square, though, an…

The acclaimed debut of Judy Davis is the best reason to see My Brilliant Career, and the award-winning film is highly recommended as the feature debut of director Gillian Armstrong. This was an early entry in the magnificent “New Australian Cinema” movement that yielded such classics as Picnic at Hanging Rock, Gallipoli, and Breaker Morant, and 27-year-old Armstrong (who would later direct the pop…
