What do the letters in Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein have to do with the story?
i read the letters in Frankenstein and its about a expeditioner , Robert Walton, writing letters to his sister, what does this have to do with Victor Frankenstein?
If you read further along you’ll see that Walton later meets Victor in his journey and befriends him. He later warns Walton against his thirst for knowledge and begins to tell him all about his experiences, about the monster and everything.
That’s how the actual story begins. It’s basically Frankenstein’s autobiography told by him to Walton who then tells it to his sister.
