Mcnally Elf
What’s the name of this book?
Please help. I’ve been trying to remember the name of this book for years.
Two sisters who share a room have a fight. They divide the room using a jump-rope. One sister cannot leave the room because the door is on the other sister’s side. The “trapped” sister unleashes her imagination and imagines pulling up visitors in a basket outside her window, her children, etc. Can anyone tell me the name of this book? It was square in appearance with an orange cover and may have been a Rand McNally Junior Elf Book, a Little Storyland Book, or Tell-a-Tale Book, or some other similar type book.
Additional details:
1. I think the older sister’s name may have been Mary.
2. One sister wore red and the other wore green, if I remeber correctly.
3. Everything the sister imagines is drawn in black and white.
