Mechanical Drawing

Mechanical Drawing………?
My boyfriend dropped out of high school in the 10th grade and is planning on going back for his GED. He has told me that he loved doing mechanical drawing in the 9th grade. Well, I want to help him out and see if he is able to do a career that involves mechanical drawing. If this is possible, is college or just a high school diploma required? Can it pay well? Is it possible to be successful in this type of career? I just want to see my boyfriend happy with what he does with his life. He got off to a bad start and now he is improving. He is 23.
All mechanical drawing in this day and age is done with CAD software. Your boyfriend’s best bet would be to learn and get proficient in AutoCAD and some of the other popular programs in the industry. Of course, an Associate or Bachelor’s degree is a major help.
Good luck to you both,
