More People Ripping Off Jackson
Michael Jackson was one of the best music artists of all time there is no doubting this but since his departure in 2009 there have been so many companies almost making an insult of his name by selling all of his merchandise and CD’s off for a much higher price.
Another insult and low blow has been dealt this week to Jackson as Sony Music have signed a deal with the Jackson estate that could be a massive $250million. There is not much that has been said of this deal and it has not even been announced yet but it reportidly means sony will have the rights over 10 album releases across 7 years.
This money that the Jackson estate are going to be recieving through this deal is going to be paying of Jackson’s debt. Sony look like they are planning on rereleasing a lot of previous Jackson albums and on top of this an album that consists of previously unheard content. Stop it Sony, this deal is bad, why am I already wanting to buy?!!
Whilst on the subject of selling things in the name of Jackson, this week in England furniture that he would have used in the tour has gone on sale. The company knew he was dead right, then why did they carry on making the furniture, wait a second now I know.
Wait a second, I am sure I have a couple of bass guitars and also banjos sitting in my garage that are related to the electric guitars that Michael Jackson owned, perhaps I should start selling these off and see what I get from it?
People really need to leave the poor dead guy alone and stop ripping him off.
It is not right that people do this kind of thing but to a certain extent you can see why they do it and lets be honest if you could you most likely would too.
