Differentiate between Modern and Old Library.?
Depends on how “old” you mean.
Ancient libraries were only accessible to the clergy or high ranking members of society or government. Books were so rare they were actually chained to the shelves! No one is really sure what the classifications schemes were.
Older modern libraries used physical card catalogs where-as most library catalogs are now online. Digitization has revolutionized libraries as a demand for digital content has given rise to more computer stations and online databases where libraries once spent most of their budgets on books. The library has become less of a research facility and more of a community center.
