How difficult is the track around Abel Tasman National Park?
I’m going to Abel Tasman National Park in 3 weeks and am looking to walk from Wainui Bay to Separation Point and back on one day, then from Bark Bay to Anchorage on another.
How difficult are these walks? Are there lots of steep inclines?
I’m not terribly fit but want to get the most out of my visit there. I will also be travelling with my husband during this time. Any advice or tips would be most appreciative!
It’s classed as an easy trek. Enjoyable walking with great views all the way. Very well maintained with hand rails in some parts where there is a couple steps.
There are plenty of Aqua Taxis around if you get tired or what to walk one way and taxi back the other – all you need to do is head to the beach and flag one down. I’m serious! One of the companies – http://www.aquataxi.co.nz
