National Parks

What are the chances of cars being banned from national parks?
I just read about an anti-noise campaign that’s underway for the national parks.
It’s not just the noise but also the number of vehicles crowding a limited number of roads and the air pollution. Zion has already banned private vehicles from the park during the summer months and I think this was a very good move. Yosemite has implemented YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transit System) to reduce the number of vehicles in the valley although it’s still voluntary. I wouldn’t be surprised if the NPS begins restricting the number of vehicles in Yosemite Valley in the near future. Private vehicles are banned from the Denali Park Road for a couple of reasons. One is the road is unpaved and an increase in the number of vehicles traveling the road would more than likely increase the upkeep of the road. It also helps to keep the wilderness, wilderness.
