Naval Academy

If not accepted to Annapolis Naval Academy, how does the admission process work at NAPS?
I was accepted to the Naval Academy’s Summer Seminar, and things are looking great. The only thing that I am worried about is academics, due to school funding and restrictions. How exactly does NAPS nominate you to go to their ten-month course? And is it true that NAPS guarantees a spot in the Naval Academy the next year if you pass your courses?
What happens with the NAPS program is that of the candidates for the Naval Academy a group is selected that fit the profile of a midshipman but did not quite measure up. These candidates are offered a chance to go to NAPS and, if successful in completing the program, they will be offered an appointment to the Naval Academy. You do not apply directly to NAPS. So in summation, if you apply to the Academy, are not successful, you MAY be offered NAPS for a little extra refinement, but it is not guaranteed, you have to pass the course.
