Vienna Opera Ticket
One of the most famous buildings in Austria’s capital Vienna is definitely the state opera in the heart of the city centre. Usually an opera ticket costs a fortune but not in beautiful Vienna. It is possible to buy a Vienna opera ticket for a very reasonable price. In other European cities you usually have to spend quite lot of money for an opera performance.
Of course there are Vienna opera tickets for almost 200 euros for wealthy people as well but it is possible to purchase tickets for about 10 euros, which is quite a good price for one of the most well-known opera buildings in the world. Of course the price depends on the seating category. Purchasing a Vienna opera ticket for the opera ball, which is held annually, is difficult even for the high society. Usually only famous actors, businessmen and politicians get the chance to celebrate one entire evening inside the famous opera building in the Ringstraße.
Everybody can be part of this event at home though, because the ball is broadcast on many different TV-stations all over the planet. As a tourist you should you might as well get special discounts. Just make sure you take a look at discount offers for students, elderly people and of course children. There are special performances only for children which are usually in the afternoon. These tickets are rather cheap and they are a good chance for young kids to experience the opera feeling in the heart of Vienna. This is definitely an unforgettable event in the life of a child.
Vienna opera tickets are very popular, so make sure to book your tickets early enough. The purchase is possible online as well, which is a quick and easy way to book. If you are strolling around in the city centre you will find a large number of ticket offices as well, where you can buy the Vienna opera ticket.

Andrea Chenier is based on the true story of a poet who was caught up and destroyed by the blind fury of the French Revolution. Giordano’s music captures the acrid flavor of that movement, the cynicism of some of its leaders, and Chenier’s integrity and tragic fate. This production… |
