Does NYPD have Inspectors?
I’m a fan of Nero Wolfe. His legal nemesis is Inspector Cramer of NYPD Homicide. But I thought Inspectors were only in Europe. Detective, yes…but Inspector? It doesn’t sound right. Rex Stout wrote Nero novels from 1934 (Fer de Lance) till the late 70′s, if that means anything.
