What order should I pick my 2009 fantasy baseball team in?
I need a few names in each position (in case they get picked) and who to seek out first. Which positions should I fill up first/are more scarce this year?
This is for a private Rotisserie style ESPN fantasy league.
All of the infield positions are scarce accept for catching.This is because catchers don’t start going until the 5th round in a 12 team league!
And by then there are hardly any other good infielders left! TAKE THE OTHER INFIELDERS+1 STUD OUTFIELDER IN THE 1ST 5 ROUNDS!
Outfield is not shallow,but tier 1 outfielders are.I can’t specifically tell you who to take without knowing how many teams are in your league,but I know you’ll be able to get top of the line pitchers,closers,
outfielders,utility,and ESPECIALLY catchers after the 5th round.
I took 2 outfielders in the 1st 5 rounds this year (12 team league) because I barely missed my last targetted 1st baseman in the 4th round (Morneau)..So I ended up with Dunn in the 7th round..There’s a big difference BA. wise with the 2,but that’s 1 thing about drafts,they’re unpredictable,and sometimes even the best strategies can’t be carried out to perfection.
