speeding ticket signed proof of correction?
i got a ticket for speeding and NO VALID LICENSE IN POSSESSION the ticket is for $475 but in the bottom it says Option: You have the option to pay the following amount $268.00 in person with a signed Proof of Correction instead of the fined amount listed above… what do i have to do? this is my first ticket
If you are admitting that you were speeding and want to pay the $268.00, then just go to the location on the citation along with your valid driver’s license (that’s the proof they want to see) and pay the fine.
If you want to plead “not guilty” then you would have to request a court hearing at the same location and in most States, pay the $475.00 as a bond, which you could or could not get back after your court hearing depending on the Judge.
