Sothebys Auction

Sothebys Auction
Where is the best place to auction antiques that are worth hundreds of dollars?

My understanding of Sothebys is that they only take items worth many thousands of dollars. We have a few items that we estimate are worth several hundred dollars each.

One is an art deco lamp; the other is a painting. Where is the best place to go to get them auctioned off? I don’t want to go to the local auctionhouse where there’s twenty or thirty people present, and it gets sold for $25. Is EBAY the best option?

Here are a couple to check out. The second seems to be the best as they show auction houses all over the world and if you check the top of the page you can get to your state or wherever you live.
