A fictional fundamentalist Mormon family from Utah is the heart of a television series which caters on love, family, career, and what do you think? Polygamy! Big Love is an American television drama about a Mormon family residing in Utah who practices a polygamous relationship. The television series stars Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Douglas Smith, Grace Zabriskie, Mary Kay Place, Matt Ross, and Cassi Thomson. The series premiered on March 12, 2006 after the sixth-season premiere of another award-winning series The Sopranos. Big Love was co-created by Mark Olsen and Will Scheffer, whose three year labor of research gave birth to the show’s portrayal of polygamy in America with no strings attached and without being judgmental.
