What Does Your Dinnerware Say About You
Are you a considerate, house-proud host a slacker student or a tightwad? You can tell an awful lot about a person from the quality of their crockery and tableware.
I have a dear old friend who works as a teacher but he has never gotten to grip with housework or the importance of cleanliness. He serves tea in tannin stained mugs that are clearly a health hazard. His mugs are all free giveaways from garages and all are chipped, cracked and stained.
He has never progressed from his student days. He has never recognised how guests appreciate refreshments served in clean mugs without risk of contracting food poisoning. He is a lovely chap but he is completely oblivious to the state of his crockery and what it says about him.
We have some other friends who are the complete opposite, using nothing but the finest quality bone china dinner service. The hostess is continually updating her kitchen and dinnerware so the local charity shops get a constant supply of good quality products to sell. But her need to constantly change and update her home accessories is not limited to her dinner service and cutlery. She spends what must be a small fortune on redecorating her house, which she appears to do about 3 times a year, which is probably why her husband spends so much time away on business.
Then we have a group of various friends who are a little tight and don’t like to spend any money on their homewares. They pay as little as possble for their crockery, buying everything from local charity shops. Their crockery is a mixture of non-matching items, some with patterns, some plain and a variety of colours and sizes. Most of these friends, not surprisingly, live alone.
What does your dinnerware and crockery say about you?

Arrival of the Unexpected $2.91 Arrival of the Unexpected Spirit of Change Magazine. “Subtitled “Keyboard Soliloquies,” this truly unique album includes the phrase “created, performed and recorded spontaneously, all in one take by Kenneth G.
