Hi Morris

You look like an excellent candidate. I wish your math SAT was higher though.

2 things for you to do:

1. Consider taking an SAT prep course and retake the test. Once you get into the 700s, you are looking really good. The Princeton Review and Kaplan are the biggest – there are others.

2. Do not put all your hopes in one school. I know a student who was turned down by UConn and accepted by Cornell, and RPI gave him a full scholarship. Go figure! There is a certain element of irrationality in the admissions process. Go to one of the free online services such as College Matchmaker, enter your information, and see which schools are accepting students with your qualifications. Apply to at least three, in addition to UConn.

Good luck in your college search process. Engineers rule!
