Thousand Leagues
What did you think of Jules Vernes’ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea? Would a teenager like it? ?
I’m trying to find a book for my studies in literature class to read for my ISU. I’m really interested in doing some of the classics, but I’m afraid they’ll be too difficult to read. I’m seventeen, and I do read a lot, but I wouldn’t say my vocabulary is much above average – if this makes it clearer, I’m having trouble getting all of the words in Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. Will Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea be too hard for me to decipher? Also, how long is it approximately and was it – for lack of a better word – boring at times?
It is perfect for teenage boys especially. I loved it. Not boring.
