Through Bookland

Looking for a certain book….help!?
I was recently in a book store and flipped through a book. I almost bought it but knew I’d be back at the store a few days later so I put it back without writing down the title or author.
But…when I went back to the bookstore it was gone!!
All I remember is that it was in hard cover still. The cover was colorful swirls – not neon or anything but pretty bright.
And the title was something to do with Bookland or Dreamland of Books or something like that.
The premise of the plot seemed to be that a child or something got stolen into this other realm of books. It was kind of a fantasy/Da Vinci Code thing for book-ish people I think.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
Perhaps it was “The City of Dreaming Books” by Walter Moers?
