Name an overlooked player who you think is actually pretty good?
My vote goes to Tony Allen. Great defensively and always gives 110% for his team. You know he’ll be there backing up your team if one of your player gets in a scrap. He’s the kind of player I’d like on my team. Clearly not a great shooter but he’s a crazy dunker and not bad at finishing around the rim. Also consider the impact he had at Memphis. The Celts made it to the Finals or Conference semi finals in the three years prior to TA leaving, then won only 1 series this year, whilst the Grizz weren’t close to being a playoff side for how many years before this year, then make the Conf. SFs with him in the team.
So.. yeah, he’s my guy lol.
On the Lakers: Derek Fisher. The guy is the whole locker room, without his veteran presence and ability to contain Kobe, we would be a mess (an even bigger one!) So he’s got my vote for the Lakers.
In the entire NBA: NeNe, he carried a Carmelo-less Nuggets team to a relatively OK season. He can play his D, but really gets it done on the offensive end.
