Golf Helped Me Slim Down
To a lot of people when you mention golf it comes as somewhat a very boring and tedious game. If you mention it in an exercise approach then they think what sort of exercise can I get from swinging a club?
Well I am going to tell you a true story of how playing golf helped me lose over 5 stone in pure weight. I was around 18 years old. I am not at all a very lengthly person, but I weighed a massive 16 stones, I just could not stop sitting down and eating. It became apparent to me that I was over weight when I walked up a small flight of stairs and could barely catch my breath.
Something had to be done before I turned into something that was going to ruin my body for the rest of my life. I first started to try to go to the gym, but it was just too much I was in no physical state to be visiting the gym. Every technique I tried to do just made me out of breath. So one of my dear friends suggested that I go to the local golf club and start playing golf, the first thing that came to my mind was how the heck will that help?
But I gritted my teeth and took the plunge, I actually very much enjoyed my first game and it was very rewarding. I got a splash of sunshine and a breath of fresh air. But what was happening to my body was what shocked me I was using all of my muscles without even know. I regularly played 3 times a week and in 5 months I had lost all of my weight. I would definitely recommend golf to anyone.
