Two Volumes

The volumes of two similar pyramids are 16 cubic inches and 54 cubic inches. What is the ratio of their areas?
Please teach me how to do this particular problem!!
my teacher said the answer’s 4/9 but I don’t know how.
This may not be best approach, but this is how it works
Volumes are always cubes, i.e u multiply 3 dimensions to get a volume
Areas are squares (2 dimensions)
So try to get a common factor and a cube number between the volumes
here
2 * 8 => 1st pyramid volume
2 * 27 => 2nd Pyramid volume
I took out 2, coz i wanted the multiples to be cube numbers
now take cube roots
cube root of (2) * 2 => first pyramid
cube root of (2) * 3 => second pyramid
its like a side
take squares, to convert it into area and take the ratio
cancelling the square ( cube root of (2)) on both sides
2^2/3^2
4:9
your teacher is correct!
