Vintage children’s book title?
Hi,
I’m trying to remember the title of a book that I read as a child. I remember in the story that the mother character makes some sort of special dish out of snow (or mashed potatoes that looked like “snow”) and gave it to the kids. I also think that it was a Christmas story? (Or at least some sort of winter story). From what I remember, there are a girl and a boy in the story. I think that it might have been a golden book but I’m not sure. Anyone remember this story/book?
there was a book called the Little Snow Girl,I think and it was about this girl who was made of snow and she could only eat ice I guess, and so this old man and woman who had always wanted a little girl gave her a bowl of crushed ice, and then one night it was so cold that they brought her inside and laid her by the fire and she wasn’t there in the morning , but there was a real girl, who became their daughter. but I don’t know if that’s the one you are thinking of.
