Why do people say Marilyn Monroe was a size 14…when even a size 4 would probably be too big for her today?
If you just google “Marilyn Monroe Bikini” it is clear shes nowhere near today’s size 14!
I am curvy with big thighs, and even size 0′s can sometimes be too big.
I tried on vintage clothing from the 1950′s and 1960′s and some were too tight!
It is obvious she was a size 14 before vanity sizing. The heaviest she ever was: 140 lbs AND SHE WAS PREGNANT (although she miscarried).
In my opinion its a slap in the face to women who really are a size 14. >:(
It is like those adverts on childrens tv stations, “Go out and play…but up next is the coolest show ever!”

She isn’t thin in that pic, but 95% she is thin.
They actually said a size 8 today would be more her size.

does that look like a size 4 to you? no. at that point she was probably an 8 or 10 by today’s standards. But that was probably after she was pregnant. When she was at her thinnest she was probably a 4 or a 2.
