What are fun props/vintage items to take pictures of/with?
I just love taking pictures with vintage/gothic/steampunk items (you name it), but I’ve recently run out of ideas.
I was looking on eBay for stuff that isn’t too expensive, and that could be good for taking pictures of/with.
I recently bought a vintage camera, and I love using stuff like syringes, etc.
I was thinking about getting some classic glass vials or metal syringes, but I don’t really know.
Any idea? :]
Sure…I love collecting antique stuff too.
How about a rotary telephone? A record player? An antique vacuum tube AM radio? (You can find a small desktop Zenith or Westinghouse for dirt cheap on eBay, especially the small bakelite ones).
By the way, what kind of vintage camera did you buy? How about instead of just using it as a prop, why don’t you actually load it with film and take pictures with it! Even if it’s an antique camera that uses 120 roll film, you can still easily order film for it. I have a huge collection of vintage cameras and I use them all the time. I even have a bunch of antique 8mm movie cameras, and I do actually shoot 8mm movies sometimes. (YES, you can still get 8mm movie film…you have to order it, but it’s easy to get).
