How come a lot of people think only white people listen to Lil Wayne…?
When i know more Mexicans and Blacks (including me… i’m both mexican and black) that listen to him most white people i know only listen to underground rap like Immortal Technique and Lady Gaga and Rock music
White people only listen to music that Black people used to listen to. That’s the main reason you’ll hear most white people say, “Lil’ Wayne’s old stuff is really good, but his new stuff sucks.” Black people usually just stick with what is new regardless of whether or not it’s good. As long as the people on TV and the radio call it hip-hop it will be cool to most Blacks. Black people always follow the cool, but most, not all, White people just aren’t cool so they try to be different. Hence the reason why most White people say, “I only listen to real hip-hop” to make it sound like they listen to some type of sacred form of the same genre. Really, still trying to figure out what makes Atmosphere and Aesop Rock more hip-hop than Lil’ Wayne.
