Will Durant Be Better Than Kobe Bryant

For recent games, the Lakers had fierce battles with Thunder ahead of the NBA play-off season. The Lakers had lost continuously for 5 consecutive battles. The last time they lost games like this is in 2007, a bad season to Lakers. This is a bad symptom for the champion NBA team, that means, they are going wrong way and need to make some adjustment. This also means that the Lakers will not be the best team in Western Conference and not gain the home-court advantage any more. If they performance as last year, they would get the home-court advantage in the first two rounds of the playoffs, but all had been changed.
Currently the Lakers are the second strong team in Western Conference together with the Dallas Mavericks. Oklahoma City Thunder is just behind these two traditional strong NBA team. Kobe Bryant scored 31 points for the Lakers, but these points is not of so great use. Kevin Durant leaded the Thunder and scored 31 points. Other players in the Thunder also performance well, such as Russell Westbrook, a talented basketball player, scored 26 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
but they still can not stop the Thunder and finally lost. During the third quarter, the Lakers even be 2 points lead and come into the fourth quarter. This was of great use for the reason that Lakers allowed Oklahoma City to score 36 points in the first and 30 points in the second quarters. Ron Artest gave the Lakers a lift by scoring six points during the quarter.
At the first half, the Lakers are only two points behind the Thunder, which is 64-66. When the Lakers are 12 points behind the, that seems this team need some power to make this situation better. For the fierce battle, Kobe conflicted with Perkins, and then both of them were assessed technical foul for they push each other. Even when the officials stepped between Bryant and Perkins, they continued to glare at each other.
The key stat of the game is at its fourth quarter, Thunder 32 compared to Lakers 16. The Lakers lead the game in the end of third quarter, with the stat of 90-88. As they entered the fourth quarter, the aging Lakers was beat by the two young superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. They scored nine of the team’s final 16 points.
As we know from 2010, the last playoffs season, it had to take the Lakers six games to beat the Thunder. The Lakers won the first two games, then the Thunder won the next two and the Lakers won the final two. In the condition that these two teams meet in 2011, they would beat harder and it is easy to guess the result.
The NBA teams had changed so much, weak team become with talented players, strong team become weak with the old age. Life is great when fans and writers worry about the Lakers, it just had to take a team that is just as good as the Lakers to make people become skeptical of them.
