Yourself Encyclopedia

Why can’t you search for the information yourself?
Alot of people ask questions about things they can figure out on their own through some simple research, like history. Alot of people ask about wars or political leaders. You people obviously have computers, so you don’t lack that resource. All you have to do is go to Google and look it up. There are online encyclopedias, articles, and other reliable sources of information that you can look up.
Why are we so dependent on other people for information when we have the resources to do it ourselves?
(I will admit that a bunch of people have legitimate questions about things that aren’t so easy to find or aren’t so reliable on the internet, like medical stuff, or personal issues. I’m just talking about those who want us to do their research for them so they can go to MySpace or play Minesweeper instead.)
I will ask a question for a couple of reasons 1) maybe someone has already done the research and is more knowledgeable than me about a subject and 2) sometimes it is good to get someone elses opinion to add to your own research and 3) you might have missed something or misinterpreted something that someone else can help you understand better
