Zimmer Bradley

What is the plot of the darkover series by Marion Zimmer Bradley?
I want to know what the general plot of the series is. I have been trying to find a plot or a summary or soemthing but i cant find anything
The Darkover series, much like Anne McCaffery’s Pern or Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar, is a series united by the setting over a long, long time rather than one plot about a certain group of characters.
To sum up:
-Humans land on alien planet, aka Darkover, and develop a variety of psychic powers. Society ends up stuck in a rather feudalistic vein, but hey, cool magic powers for the win!
-War of Chaos. When you intentionally breed for laran (magic psychic powers) and develop fantasy-grade nukes, your neighbors are doing the same, and you throw some Free Amazons into the mix… the results can be volatile. And kinda awesome.
-Second contact. Sure, Darkover society has come to peace, more or less, but citizens from other Terran colonies have finally rediscovered them and are curious as to the whole backwater civilization with previously mentioned laran. Oh, and the rest of civilization still has a good grasp on the whole spaceships and lasers thing. This makes finding one’s place in the bigger universe a very delicate matter.
If you’re a fan of sweeping sci-fi/fantasy, you’ll probably enjoy these. Most of the omnibuses have summaries of the overall timeline, as well.
